Rangi-tau-ngawha

Rangi-tau-ngawha is the name for the event of the separation of Rangi and Papa.

“Rangi” is the sky or sky father personified.

The word ngawha has to do with volcanic activity, eruptions, or geysers.

“Tau” is a word that has a lot of meanings. It could mean spouse, string, your, age, or other things.

I really don’t know the sense it’s meant in this phrase.
